Which version fits?
- Pull D: thick coatings.
- Stripp: medium-hard coatings.
- Stripp soft / soft-P: coatings; soft-P with lateral PCDs also for plaster removal.
- Direction of rotation: right-hand (gold) or left-hand (silver).
Hard and soft floors – what does that mean?
The hardness of the floor determines which version you need. Rule of thumb: the harder the floor, the softer the bond of the tool – so dull diamonds wear away faster and new ones are exposed. With soft floors it is the other way round.
Floor hardness
Typical substrates
Recommended bond
Soft floors
young concrete, soft screed, plaster, asphalt, abrasive substrates
hard bond (low wear)
Medium-hard floors
normal concrete, cement screed, terrazzo
medium bond
Hard floors
dense, old concrete, aged concrete, troweled concrete surfaces
soft bond
Very hard floors
highly compacted concrete, hard-aggregate screed, granite
very soft bond
Tip: if the tool hardly grinds any more and the surface becomes shiny, the bond is too hard – use a softer one. If it wears very quickly, use a harder bond. If in doubt, we will be happy to advise you: +49 9171 8522033.
