Which grinding shoe for which substrate?
- Red, block segments: even removal on concrete, old concrete and hard concrete floors.
- Black, block segments: for screed, asphalt and abrasive substrates.
- Yellow / blue / gold with PCD: for removing epoxy, adhesive residues, carpet adhesive and paint coatings.
Hard and soft floors – what does that mean?
The hardness of the floor determines which version you need. Rule of thumb: the harder the floor, the softer the bond of the tool – so dull diamonds wear away faster and new ones are exposed. With soft floors it is the other way round.

Which grit is the right one?
Coarser grit (low number) removes material faster, finer grit gives the better surface. For medium-hard to hard concrete the stated grit is the standard.
