Special Dry Core Bits with Spiral for Micro-Impact & Soft-Impact

Special Dry Core Bits with Spiral for Micro-Impact & Soft-Impact

Dry drilling in heavily reinforced concrete and dense masonry places extremely high demands on the tool. Our dry diamond core bits with spiral (helix) were developed especially for use on modern core drilling motors with switchable soft impact or micro impact. They offer the perfect combination of mechanical dust removal and high load capacity of the diamond segments.

Why core bits with spiral / helix?

When drilling dry without water, the drilling dust quickly tends to jam the core or overheat the diamond segment. The spiral or helically twisted bit body solves this problem effectively:

  • Active dust removal: The outer helical conveyor automatically pulls fine and coarse drilling dust backwards during rotation.
  • No jamming & overheating: Continuous dust extraction combined with the spiral keeps the hole clear. Friction drops massively, which prevents the core bit from seizing.
  • Maximum service life with soft impact: The specially laser-welded segments withstand the rapid pulses of micro impact and wear evenly.

Applications & technical details

These professional dry core bits are ideal for interior fit-out, renovation of old buildings and electrical or sanitary installations where no water may be used:

  • Materials: Concrete, reinforced concrete, brick, sand-lime brick, clinker and hard rock.
  • Connections: Common system connections such as 1 1/4" UNC or 1/2" internal thread for the most common machine manufacturers (e.g. WEKA, Baier, Cardi, AGP, Eibenstock).

Pro tip for maximum drilling performance

When dry drilling in concrete, always connect a powerful dust extractor (class M). The negative pressure it generates reinforces the effect of the core bit spiral, additionally cools the segments through the airflow and protects your health on site.
